Preliminary assessment of #NigeriaDecides2023 governorship elections

SBM sent out 56 researchers to cover the governorship elections, two in each of the 28 states choosing a governor. For states where there are no governorship elections, but state assembly elections, we are relying on OSINT sources. This chart is a provisional chart of incidents that we have been able to verify as of noon WAT on 18 March. The ghosts of violence and logistical problems that marred the presidential elections are yet to go away as they have surfaced in nine states so far.
